XNRG's Humanity Direct Tring Ultra

Donate the entry fee or pledge to raise as much as you can instead of paying to enter an ultra marathon - saving and changing the lives of children in developing countries who desperately need surgery.

This year we are also offering a team event in addition to the 50km Ultra and 'half ultra' option

We welcome everyone from walkers (choose the early start at 8am) through to the speedsters who can choose either a 9am or 10am start time.

These are popular events - nearly 1 in 4 entrants are repeat runners or walkers at this race and 40% of those entering the Amersham 50km have run at least one of the others in the series in the past two years.

XNRG are once again partnering with Humanity Direct - the charity funding vital operations for little children on 2th March 2024.  XNRG offer a unique chance to get a place on an amazing one day ultra for FREE if you fundraise for a Humanity Direct patient, or donate the entry fee.

The Team Event

This year we are offering the chance for you to compete in the Ultra as part of a team consisting of up to 5 members.  It's up to you which part of the course each team member will cover but note that you can only hand over at the standard ultra checkpoints and also that it is your responsibility to transport your team members to their handover points.

You will enter on behalf of your team and we'll ask you for the names and other basic information of your fellow team members.  You can make changes to your team up until close to the event.  Our usual cancellation/deferral rules apply but requesting either will be on behalf of your entire team.

Why we do it

In 2019 Humanity Direct raised £24,000 through the four Humanity Direct events, which helped fund life saving and life changing operations for 35 children and we are hoping to raise even more this year.

So, how does it work?

It's simple. Instead of charging an entry fee for the one day ultra marathon, XNRG ask you to donate the entry fee to fund a vital operation - or, if you prefer, you can start a fundraising page instead and raise as much as you can, with a minimum of the equivalent of the entry fee.


Places for this event go fast! We give people a special opportunity to enter to run or walk 31 (17 if you choose the shorter option) miles in the stunning Chiltern Hills for FREE if you sign up to raise some money for patients.
