The Loneliest Road - JoGLE ChallengE
Starting on 10th September 2022 (World Suicide Prevention day) Kelly’s Heroes kick off the first leg of their Epic challenge across Europe. The challenge then continues across the USA from New York, ending in San Francisco on 10th October 2022 (World Mental Health Day).
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE?
The aim is to raise awareness of mental health globally and raise vital funds for resources to support mental health in local communities. Everything about the ride from name, route, start and finish dates have been developed with mental health at the core and linking into it. 52,000 miles (equivalent to twice around the World), is the goal we are looking to hit to fuel our #AskTwice and #NotAlone campaigns. In addition to Kelly’s Heroes miles calculated as the routes are completed we are inviting the general public to help us to achieve our goal of 52,000 miles.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
The JoGLE Challenge has been set for Team UK and is your chance to take part in this global event! So the challenge for you is to take part in a virtual JoGLE (John O'Groats to Lands End) during the same time frame as The Loneliest Road is undertaken. Your participation will be a combined effort with the rest of Team UK any miles you are able to complete in the month are truly appreciated.
In total the route is 1000 miles (1600km) you do not have to complete 1000 miles yourself, you will be doing this collectively with the rest of Team UK. As your miles start to clock on 10th September you’ll see our teams progress down the route.
To take part you can log your miles whether walking, cycling, running or even swimming. A simple walk to the coffee shop every day or cycle in your lunch break - all miles are equally important in helping us achieve our goal. Anything you log will collectively push us through the route as we complete it as a team.
SHOW US YOUR SUPPORT
